I suppose it’s time to do a new post. I’ve been away for a while. Apparently my last legit post was in October. Whoops. I’ve been busy, uninspired, lazy. I was gonna post something about a month ago. It was a long guide for Maryland drivers unfamiliar on how to drive in the snow. I put a lot of work into it (about twenty minutes, don’t judge me), but then my computer caught a death virus and I started losing functionality. I had to frantically transfer files to a borrowed flash drive and I foolishly went for my lab data that I had spent hundreds of hours on. By the time it came to getting my personal files, the computer had shut itself down and refused to start back up. I ended up losing all my personal files, including several ideas I had for posts.
I know what you’re saying, “you could have just wrote your posts on WordPress and then you’d still have them regardless of what your stupid computer does.” That’s probably a good idea. Now allow me to promptly ignore your advice and keep writing in Word and transferring things over. I’ve got a very specific process that I like to follow.
I’d like to thank Shanknasty for filling in with a politics post that I found hilarious. Especially if you’re at all familiar with Runyan. If you haven’t read it yet, I’d sure recommend it. Also, if you’re nice and leave some comments, maybe Shank will post again. Then you’d have more to read than my semi-coherent ramblings. I’m not sure, but I think Pete is sitting around accumulating material so as to make a comeback of epic proportions. Either that, or he’s holed up, waiting to see if the world will really end in 2012. Spoiler Alert: It will.
I was going to include a post with substance here, but I think I’ll break it up and just post something new in the next couple of days. Couple of reasons. All this writing has really taken it out of me, I don’t really feel inspired, I have work to do that I actually get paid for, if I include what I wanted to post this will become unwieldy.
So look for some new posts coming within the next week, a rewrite of my snow driving guide and a new “Great Ideas in Action” post. Since this post didn’t contain too much in the way of substance, I’ll leave you with some sweet car accident photos with moderately funny captions of my own making. You’re welcome.
